Pro2col closure

Pro2col, the professional photographic lab formed by the merger of Colourpoint and PCL, ceased trading suddenly at the end of July.
Manchester is now left with no E6 or B&W film processing in the city centre. The nearest for 35mm and 120 is DS Colour in Didsbury, while large format users will need to go to Manchester Colour Labs in Great Moor, Stockport.

SMOKED OUT - SNAP YOUR SMOKING SANCTUARY BEFORE 1ST JULY

On the 30th June 2007 the lights will go out. Not in the streets but in areas of the English workplace that were once havens for
those who just wanted to take a break and have a cigarette. Like it, tolerate it or loathe it, the smoking room is a unique piece of
workplace culture, where management and shopfloor coexist with no other shared interest than to have a fag. The rooms set aside are generally no more than an afterthought - mostly containing furniture and decor one step from the skip.

Skillset Photography Survey

Skillset, the Sector Skills Council for photography, is running a large-scale survey to try and get a truer picture of the whole photography sector. Please click on this link, then follow the links to the 2007 Photo Imaging Workforce Survey. You can take part whether you're a photographer, or work in retail, a lab or a photo library. The deadline for online submission is the end of May, or you can print out a form and post it in.
