The United Nations of Photography present the first ever weekend devoted to the photo book as part of the Cheltenham Literary Festival in association with the University of Gloucestershire.

Established in 1949, The Cheltenham Literature Festival is one of oldest literary events in the world. Every Autumn the town of Cheltenham is transformed into a book lover’s dream as the The Festival welcomes over 600 of the world’s finest writers, actors, politicians, poets and leading opinion formers to celebrate the joy of the written word. Alongside a programme of nearly 500 debates, interviews and workshops for the first time ever Grant Scott in association with the University of Gloucestershire will be curating a weekend devoted to the photo book.

The weekend of 5 and 6 October 2013 will consist of a series of talks and events featuring photographers and those engaged with photographic book publishing.

Featuring Photographers: Jim Mortram, Niall McDiarmid, Craig Atkinson/Cafe Royal Books, Matthew Murray, Photo Book Club, Jason Ingram and more to be announced.

All events will be free to attend and take place within the University of Gloucestershire marquee as part of the main festival.
