London Art Fair has built up a strong reputation for photography within the main Fair, Art Projects and Photo50.
Photography Focus Day takes place at London Art Fair 2017 on Wednesday 18 January with guided tours, artist talks and panel discussions exploring contemporary photographic practice.

12pm – 1pm
Made Together: participating and collaborating in photographic practice
Four artists presenting work in Photo50 ‘Gravitas’ discuss their practice with curator Christiane Monarchi.
2pm & 5pm
Photography Highlights Tours
An introduction to photography for sale across the Fair, led by critic and art historian Jean Wainwright.
1.30pm – 2.30pm
Photoworks presents: Fashion Spreads – photography, fashion and cultural identity
A panel discussion from contributors to the latest Photoworks Annual
3pm – 4pm
Material Matters: On making and the physicality of photography
Kim Shaw chairs a discussion looking at the importance of materiality in contemporary photographic practice.
4.30pm – 5.30pm
Collecting Contemporary Photography in association with The Photographers’ Gallery
Brett Rogers explores current trends and opportunities for collecting photography, with panellists offering perspective from both public and private collections.
