Waterside Arts Centre is hosting an event to launch the exhibition catalogue for their current exhibition, Sweet Debris, with a discussion on how the project came to fruition, led by curator Mario Popham who will be joined by Open Eye's curator Thomas Dukes and exhibiting artists from Sweet Debris.
Sweet Debris is a group exhibition featuring new and existing photographs and objects by four rising early career artists who find common inspiration in the cultural, social and visual detritus left in the wake of modern life.
While today we live in a world inundated with images, Sweet Debris explores how photography continues to find new expression amongst the rubble, through committed attention to the commonplace and the otherwise disregarded.
This event is free and is happening on Tuesday 11th June 2019 at Waterside Arts Centre
