King Street, Niagara on the Lake

The shoreline of Lake Ontario creates a liminal space between land and lake. Although we call the shore a line, the space it occupies is quite thick, with land reaching out into the water and water breaking into the land. The pairs of photographs in Lake Shore Drive take positions on this line between Niagara-on-the-Lake and Toronto, some times slightly further in and some times further out. One photograph looks out to the water; one photograph looks to the land, so that each diptych represents two aspects of a particular location.
