‘Greylag’ is a body of work, which explores the process of grief, specifically relating to personal loss, focusing on its ability to inhibit awareness towards certain thoughts. The work highlights a human desire to search for a trace of continued existence within the unintelligible parameters of everyday life, confronting memories associated with locations that often become repressive for fear of a reoccurrence toward the suffering. The work reveals a personal emotive journey in which the artist’s anxieties are vanquished, allowing the viewer to interpret their own meaning through a surface of ambiguity.
