I was sat on my backside debating whether or not to go out this evening. I'd decided not to when a chap came on Countryfile. He was a wildlife photographer who had been diagnosed with Parkinsons disease. He wasn't sure how long he had left doing what he loved and said he never procrastinates anymore. This was all I needed to hear so I packed up my gear and off I went.
This is a spillway at the bottom end of Torside reservoir in the Peak District shot using my Sigma 50mm with my XC Source 10 stop filter which continues to astonish me for £10. I shot this last year but wider and decided it would look cool on its own @ 50mm. The sun was illuminating the under side of the broken clouds above a glorious golden colour which was catching the end of the spillway and I knew with a longer exposure the surface above would turn to glass.
I'm going to try and continue the ethos of doing today what I could do tomorrow cause you never know.
Part of this years 366 project which is nearing it's end.
