Now in its third year, Carlisle Photo Festival 2014 includes exhibitions and events across the city. It aims to challenge ideas about the way contemporary photography can interact with both its surroundings and audience. In using unusual venues it aims to attract a wider range of the viewing public and create a buzz in the community.

The main exhibition, Seeing Through The Century, a photographic exploration of change through the past hundred years, takes place at the following venues: Carlisle Railway Station, The Citadel – The Cells, 39 Lonsdale Street, English Street (external). It runs from 8 to 15 November. The preview evening on 7 Nov, from 18:30 to 20:30, is open to all.

Other exhibitions run from 1 to 15 November 2014 and there's a day of talks on 8 November.
