Greater Manchester Revealed In Student Photography Exhibition

From Thursday 30th June to Saturday 2nd July, photography students from Salford City College will present “The City Revealed” at The Lowry Outlet Mall, Salford Quays.

The exhibition, which presents iconic images of the people and landscape of Greater Manchester, is the culmination of a competition organised by tutors at the college, in conjunction with Manchester-based photographer Andrew Brooks and Pyramid Display Materials, suppliers of the UK’s leading range of sign and display materials to the retail industry.

The work of seven photographers, covering four gallery spaces at the Bluecoat, takes the viewer through the institutional processes of confinement from initial interrogation through to imprisonment. These processes are acted out in the layout of the exhibition itself.
