From Thursday 30th June to Saturday 2nd July, photography students from Salford City College will present “The City Revealed” at The Lowry Outlet Mall, Salford Quays.

The exhibition, which presents iconic images of the people and landscape of Greater Manchester, is the culmination of a competition organised by tutors at the college, in conjunction with Manchester-based photographer Andrew Brooks and Pyramid Display Materials, suppliers of the UK’s leading range of sign and display materials to the retail industry.

Adult photography students from the Walkden Sixth Form Centre and A-Level graphics students from the Pendleton Sixth Form Centre of the college were both invited to submit work for the competition and exhibition, based on a brief given by Andrew Brooks and with support from their college tutors.

The resulting photographs illustrate new perspectives on the landscapes of Manchester and Salford and demonstrate fantastic emerging talent from the student photographers. All photographs in the exhibition are printed and displayed by Pyramid Display Materials, giving students the opportunity to see their work presented at a professional level.

“The City Revealed” runs from Thursday 30th June to Saturday 2nd July on the top floor of the Lowry Outlet Mall (next to VUE cinema) at the following times: Thursday, 12pm-4pm; Friday, 12pm-4pm; Saturday, 10pm-2pm.
