Simon Roberts: We English

Simon Roberts: We English
12 March – 5 September 2010
National Media Museum, Gallery One

This exhibition is an investigation of the English at leisure. Between August 2007 and September 2008 Simon Roberts travelled the length and breadth of England, documenting people at play, relaxing and revelling.

Roberts' journey has been influenced by a long and rich tradition of landscape and social photography. As an introduction to the exhibition we are also presenting a selection of works from the Museum's Collection that Roberts looked to for inspiration.

HND Photography students at Bradford College are putting on an exhibition to raise funds and awareness for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Marie Curie is a national charity with 9 hospices operating across the UK. A large percentage of patients say they would prefer to spend their remaining time at home and with their families, and Marie Curie nurses work around the clock to make this important wish possible.
