Redeye is delighted to announce its new season of events for Spring 2004 - as well as the Symposium, there are series of forums, workshops, and critique sessions running through March and April 2004.

The Forums are intelligent discussions for photographers looking for inspiring and challenging ideas at the cutting edge of photography. Each one is led by a photographic writer or curator, who will carry on to produce an essay summing up the ideas raised at the forum. The leaders will be artist and curator Simon Grennan, who will look at realism in photography; curator Natasha Howes, looking at photography from the margins, and writer on Hispanic culture John Perivolaris, who examines the state of the humanist tradition.

The three workshops cover Redeye's most requested subjects. There's a weekend on Photoshop beyond the basics; a day on lighting; and a day on good business practice for photographers.

Finally the three critique sessions are small, informal and supportive groups for just six photographers each, who would like to show their work and get informed opinions from other photographers. Subjects covered will be landscape, documentary and art photography.
