Hothouse Bradford

8 February 2014, 10:30 to 16:30

Please note - this event is now very close to capacity. If you would like to come along, please register you place (see below). If there are any speakers you would particularly like to hear, please try to arrive 10 minutes before the relevant speaker block to guarantee your place.

After the great success of our previous two Manchester editions, Redeye is very pleased to announce the expansion of Hothouse into Yorkshire. Hothouse Bradford will be an exciting day of photography, a showcase of creative talent and a hive of photographic activity and information, delivered in association with Impressions Gallery.

Throughout the day there will be short presentations from photographers about their recent work and projects. If you have a project or body of work you would like to talk about, whether it’s complete or a work in progress, we would love to hear from you. For details on how to apply please see further information below.

In addition to the presentations there will also be the opportunity to look through these and other photographic portfolios, and photography books.

Everyone is welcome – you just need to register (below). You can bring your own book or portfolio – just let us know when you register.

Further information

Who should come on the day

Whether you have a passion for new photography, want to find out about some exciting emerging photographers, or would like the opportunity to meet and network with photographers, enthusiasts and industry professionals, this event aims to have something for everyone.

Showing your book or portfolio

There are two options for showing your book or portfolio. There's an open table on which you can leave your published or self-published book for others to browse. While there will be Redeye staff nearby, the table is not permanently staffed and so we advise you not to leave unique books or anything of significant value. The other option is to be on hand to talk to visitors about your book or portfolio. We will provide a limited number of tables for this purpose. Spaces at these tables are first come, first served. The doors will open at 10:00. If you would like to bring a portfolio, please email Adam Lee at adam@redeye.org.uk ahead of the day.

Venue and Timing

Hothouse Bradford will take place from 10:30-16:30 on 8 February 2014 at Impressions Gallery, Bradford. You are welcome to come for the whole day or drop in at any time. The full programme of talks will be announced on this page by 1 February 2014.

The gallery is a five-minute walk from Bradford Interchange when coming by bus or train. If coming by car, Impressions is about two miles from the M62 and M606, please follow signs for the city centre. Parking is not available on site but is available at the rear of the National Media Museum on Sharpe Street (postcode BD5 0QJ), and at the NCP car park on Hall Ings close to the Interchange (postcode BD1 5SD). Charges apply.

Car sharing: please get in touch if you would like to share a journey by car, where you are coming from and when.
