Sounding Board portfolio sessions with Impressions in Bradford

Impressions Gallery is launching a series of portfolio review events for up-and-coming photographers to receive feedback on their work from the Impressions curatorial team. The first Sounding Board will take place on 3 February 2007 at the Great Victoria Hotel, Bradford.

There’s no selection process and no admission charge. Anne McNeill, Director of Impressions, says: “We want to make this as open as possible, and any practitioner making photographic or moving-image based work is welcome”.

Sounding Board will offer private twenty-minute sessions between each photographer and two specialists drawn from Impressions’ curatorial team and other photography professionals. Anna Reid, Director of Leeds based photography organisation Pavilion will be taking part in the first event. There will be more events at Impressions’ new venue when it opens later in 2007.
