Redeye is delighted to announce the tenth winner of Capture Manchester 2009, the People's Choice, as voted by visitors to CUBE Gallery during the first two weeks of the exhibition.

She is Sandy Gardner, a freelance artist and teacher from Rossendale, with the image The Crown Jewels Of Manchester (see below). She wins £500, plus a free portfolio session with Redeye.

If you're quick you can still get down to CUBE Gallery before 5pm on 18th April 2008 to see the full set of every picture submitted (over 600), along with the first nine prizewinning images. Every entrant was allowed to enter one image which captured Manchester for them. The first nine winners were selected by a panel of judges and received their prizes on 27th March.

Then Sandy's image will be featured as part of Architruck, a mobile gallery touring Manchester from 20th April to 22nd May, as part of Manchester Architectural and Design Festival - it will be in Albert Square, Manchester, for the first week. See www.madf.co.uk
