Fine Focus

Deadline:
Friday, January 18, 2013 - 00:00

Creative Industries Trafford presents 'Fine Focus', a series of six creative workshops led by photographer Mario Popham and curator Rebecca Dixon.

It’s for photographers and visual artists who want to further explore and experiment with the photographic medium and take their practice to the next level. Participants will work together on a group exhibition to be showcased at Waterside Arts Centre’s Lauriston Gallery, from Oct 2013 to January 2014.

There are six workshops running from April to June 2013 at Waterside Arts Centre.
The programme aims to make the most of the workshop environment by inviting artists to form a collective group dedicated to the development of individual bodies of contemporary photographic work. The workshops will provide essential support and guidance at each stage of the creative process; from concept through to presentation. The course is carefully divided between technical and theory-based learning to give artists a more inclusive and rounded experience of the creative method.

The aim of the programme is to give emerging artists a platform to explore different approaches to producing and displaying images. Project development provides the cornerstone in our bid to unlock the potential of the participants, thereby helping to better define their creative vision.
