Reclaim Photography West Midlands invite you to submit your work to the 2017 Open Call. Submissions for this eagerly awaited second international photography festival: Reclaiming Our Cultural Landscapes. The Festival will take place across a range of venues and galleries in Birmingham, Dudley and Wolverhampton, from 6 May to 7 June 2017.

To accompany the street events a travelling gallery exhibition, hosted by Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery and Wolverhampton Art Gallery, will offer the public a unique opportunity to see a selection of photographs by UK and international amateur, professional and world renowned photographers.

The theme Reclaiming Our Cultural Landscapes encourages participants to respond to this through the use of archive material, analogue, digitial and mobile photography. They hope to attract 1000 images which will incorporate both traditional and contemporary approaches in the form of:

- portraiture

- landscape photography  - coastal or urban

- still life photography

- photo journalism

- experimental imagery

600 images will be printed and exhibited in traditional format alongside presesnted in digital and projected format.
