About
Digital Detox is a full day workshop that will give you a grounding in analogue photography. In times when we are bombarded with technology, it’s good to take some time out and try something different. From calotypes and salt prints to daguerreotypes and silk prints, professional photographer Libby Nightingale will give you an overview and history of traditional methods, film types and processing in this hands-on workshop.

Libby Nightingale
Libby Nightingale is an associate Member of the Royal Photographic Society and has a BA (hons) Photography (1st class). She is responsible for the running of Chromasia Training Limited, for which she won the Business Start-up category of the 2009 North West Women in Business Awards, and was a finalist in the Outstanding Women in Business category of the 2008 ABF Tiger Awards. Libby is a speaker at business development and networking events, including keynote presentations at the Women's Digital Village in Sheffield, the Prowess Conference in Blackpool, and WorcNet (Women working in Yorkshire), Creative Lancashire, BBC radio, and WBNL.
Her personal photographic practice is continuing body of work that challenges both contemporary and historical constructs of childhood, and the way children, particularly girls, are portrayed in art. She also explores what childhood means today. She has exhibited in Manchester and London and featured in several publications.
