Parachute; a collaboration between the BA (Hons) Contemporary Photography
and BA (Hons) Graphics Arts and Design students at Stockport College.
Parachute is a publication by BA (Hons) Contemporary Photography Degree at Stockport College; showcasing work from recent graduates, alumni and Staff of the course and is designed and produced in collaboration with BA (Hons) Graphic Arts and Design.

Incamera Arts is a group based on alternative processes and techniques in photography. There are no limits and no rules; show off your creativity and enjoy the creativity of others. Whether it is film or digital come along and share experimental techniques.
This group meeting will have a guest photographer, Jonathan Stead, who has studios in Sheffield. Jonathan is interested in historic photographic processes. He also makes his own cameras and runs workshops.

An exhibition of work by the photography graduates at Stockport College, using the still and moving image to explore a range of themes, including the medium itself, which is in state of dynamic flux.
In collaboration with Manchester Museum, a number of students have used the Ancient Egyptian and Archaeology collection as a starting point for personal response, some of which depart radically from their inspiration.

The Degree Show celebrates the achievements and talents of final year students at Manchester School of Art.
The show is open to the public and will take place between 16 and 20 June 2012. It is held at Manchester Metropolitan University's All Saints Campus and at Quay House, Quay Street, Spinningfields in Manchester city centre. All venue details are available on their website.

As part of We Face Forward, the multi venue celebration of art from West Africa, across various venues in Manchester, are several free artist talks by participating photographers, lasting approx 20 to 30 minutes.

Shadow Land is a major exhibition of work by internationally-acclaimed photographer Roger Ballen whose work offers a powerful social critique and an extreme, uncanny beauty. The exhibition explores three decades of Ballen’s career, charting the evolution of his unique photographic style and demonstrating the contribution he has made to contemporary photography.

Chen Man is one of the most well known female Chinese photographers of the 21st century and is a leading fashion photographer in China.
She has created a rich body of striking images for Chinese editions of Elle, Cosmopolitan, and Vogue. She has also won advertising commissions for international brands such as Adidas, Nike and Motorola.
