Redeye Printing Bursary with Rob Sara

Redeye is very pleased to announce the second Redeye Printing Bursary with Rob Sara, an annual bursary, open to paid members of Redeye only; each year one member will win the opportunity to have works on negative printed by top printer Rob Sara to the value of £750. The deadline is 22 March 2013.

Fine Focus

Creative Industries Trafford presents 'Fine Focus', a series of six creative workshops led by photographer Mario Popham and curator Rebecca Dixon.

It’s for photographers and visual artists who want to further explore and experiment with the photographic medium and take their practice to the next level. Participants will work together on a group exhibition to be showcased at Waterside Arts Centre’s Lauriston Gallery, from Oct 2013 to January 2014.

Sessional Teaching in Photography

The School of Arts, Design & Media at Stockport is seeking responses from practitioners to provide sessional teaching in photography (currently one day).

The BA (Honours) Contemporary Photography is one of a number of flagship courses within the School which has gained a reputation for high quality photographic work and graduates that are highly employable. The degree is now awarded by Manchester Metropolitan University.

Bursaries available on MA Visual Sociology

Two fee bursaries are available for new MA at Goldsmiths.

Drawing on Goldsmiths’ strengths in Visual Sociology, critical social analysis and experimental approaches in Science and Technology Studies, this programme is designed for students who are interested in new ways of exploring and understanding the social world through the use of visual, sensory and other inventive methods.

Call for submissions: photography with Hispanic theme

Instituto Cervantes and Redeye invite photographers and photographic artists to submit exhibition proposals for any work with a Spanish, Latin American or Hispanic theme or connection. The selected work will be exhibited at Instituto Cervantes, Manchester, in March to April 2013.

For example we are interested in:
- Work made in the UK but with a link to Spanish, Latin American or Hispanic life, work or culture.
- Work made by UK photographers in Spain or Latin America
- Work made by Spanish or Latin American photographers in the UK.
