North East Photography Network commission in partnership with Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival

NE Photography Network are delighted to announce a new commission opportunity in partnership with Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival, to be presented as part of the Festival programme, 19th – 23rd September 2012.

They are inviting proposals from all over the world, from artists who are working across moving image and photography, or who have moved from one practice to the other, while the new commission will explore the overlapping terrains of moving and still images.

MA in Photography, Cumbria

The University of Cumbria is now recruiting for its specialist MA in Photography, a one year course for self-motivated individuals who wish to both explore critical thought within contemporary photography and further to develop their own practice.

It is expected that applicants will have at least a good basic knowledge of photography and interview criteria will include the presentation of a portfolio of work.

It's taught by Dr John Darwell, Dr Sarah Bonner and Dr Katrin Joost with additional input from Mike England, Rob Sara and an ongoing programme of visiting lecturers.

FutureEverything Conference limited offer

Sky Arts Ignition: Futures Fund

Sky Arts is offering five young (18-30 years old) artists £30,000 each to fund their work for a full year.

The opportunity is part of the Sky Arts Ignition: Futures Fund, in association with IdeasTap.

Redeye Printing Bursary with Rob Sara

Redeye is very pleased to launch an annual bursary, open to paid members of Redeye only; each year one member will win the opportunity to have works on negative printed by top printer Rob Sara to the value of £750. The deadline is 20 February 2012.
