June 4th - 30th 07.15hrs - 19.00hrs
This year, 2008 is a special year for Chichester Cathedral as it celebrates its consecration as a sacred space 900 years ago, together with the life of its famous Bishop George Bell, who died 50 years ago.
Inviting Gail Ward to exhibit during this special year recognises Bishop George Bell's work in developing a partnership between the church, the community and artists.
In selecting the images exhibited, Gail took inspiration from Bell's pioneering work, which was often undertaken in difficult and controversial circumstances. She has focused on his compassionate encouragement of truth, justice and unity worldwide.
Truth is the principle factor in Gail's photography. In ' an exhibition of Shared Humanity' she captures the essence of a person to reveal thought provoking images and an awareness of the lives of others.
