Redeye starts work as a Sector Support Organisation in Arts Council's National Portfolio

Redeye is delighted to announce that from April 2018 we will be funded as a Sector Support Organisation (SSO) by Arts Council England within the National Portfolio.

The role of SSOs is not to produce art or culture directly, but instead to offer pivotal and expert support to the cultural sector. For Redeye, this formalises what we've always done - making things happen in and across photography that otherwise wouldn't.

Redeye's forthcoming plans as an SSO include:
- Our respected programme of career support for photographers which returns in full force after summer.
- Coordinating the next National Photography Symposium in autumn 2018 on the future of work in photography.
- Creating a comprehensive guide to photographic commissioning, to be published in 2019.
- A partnership event in early 2019 exploring digital legacy.
