April 2005 Redeye Public Meeting

6 April 2005, 00:00

This month's free public meeting takes place at 7.30pm on Wednesday 6th April. The venue is Richard Goodall Gallery, 59 Thomas St, Manchester. As mentioned, we plan to offer a complimentary glass of juice or wine, and we'll feature two bodies of work: one by Kim Clarkson, who is the next artist to have her work shown by the Fotografica collective. Kim's work involves notions of identity, personal space and their relationship with an environment. The work has a seductive mystery to it and is highly recommended.

Also not to be missed are Mishka and Liz of Common Eye - Tameside Council's current resident artists. They will show a series of urban landscapes and resident portraits taken on a sink estate in Hackney awaiting demolition to make way for a brand new mixed-use housing development as well as a selection called Ten Minutes from Home, containing black and white images all taken close to where they live in Audenshaw.
