HARMAN Technology and Ilford Site Tour

28 November 2013, 10:00 to 16:00

Redeye is pleased to present a special day for members, guests and others interested in exploring the site and work of one of the UK's leading photographic manufacturers.

The day will start at 10.00 with a presentation from HARMAN Director Simon Galley about ILFORD and the Mobberley site followed by a talk by Howard Hopwood, Chairman and New Business Director.

The site tour will cover coating, finishing, R&D as well the ILFORD Lab. The day is suitable for everyone interested in photography; no prior knowledge is needed!

A lunch is kindly provided by HARMAN and will include some vegetarian options. If you do have any dietary requirements please do let us know.

We would recommend comfortable footwear as there will be a fair amount of walking and climbing stairs. As the tour will cover the large Ilford site and will involve climbing stairs the tour will not be suitable for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility.

Please note that photography is not actually permitted inside any of the production areas but we will let you know where you can take photographs, most importantly mobile telephones must be switched off in certain areas and a condition of coming on the tour is that tour members will do this when requested.

We look forward to having you join the ILFORD family for a day.

Places are limited so please register soon for what we’ve heard is a most enjoyable day!

Places are free for Redeye members. Members can book one additional friend ticket for £10. Tickets for non–members £20.

To book member tickets please first log in as a member. Check our terms and conditions before booking.

Advance bookings close at 16:00 on 26 November.

Proceeds of the day will part-fund the soon to be launched black and white bursary, supported by HARMAN Technology Ltd.

Parking is freely available at the site, Ilford Way, Mobberley, Knutsford, Cheshire, WA16 7JL. When you get to the gatehouse please tell staff that you have come for the tour. We suggest arriving at the gate by 9:50 to allow time to park and get to the start.
