Katrina Houghton is awarded the Redeye bursary place on the CVAN Critical Writing Programme

This year, Redeye teamed up with CVAN NW’s Critical Writing Programme to sponsor one bursary place for a writer that will write solely on photography. That applicant is Katrina Houghton, an emerging artist and reporter from Greater Manchester.

Firecracker are seeking nominations for females in the photography industry who have changed photographer's lives, or developed their careers for the better. 

The Firecracker Contributors Award will recognise one of Europe's hardworking female photography professionals, voted for by the people they commission, purchase, educate and support: the photographers.

Winner of 2014 Redeye Digital Printing Bursary announced

We are delighted to announce the winner of the first Redeye Digital Printing Bursary with Jack Lowe Studio. It's Karen Rangeley, with a series of images (selection above) exploring workers' personal spaces in factories. She will have the opportunity to have works printed by highly acclaimed printer Jack Lowe up to the value of £750.

From all the entrants, a shortlist of three photographers was chosen, followed by the eventual winner, by a selection panel from Redeye and Jack Lowe Studio. All entrants are members of Redeye.
